The Current War

The Current War tells the story of the rivalry between Pittsburgh’s own George Westinghouse and Thomas Edison at the dawn of the 20th century. With a turn-of-the-last-century aesthetic, this world premiere musical makes the metaphorical boxing ring battle between Westinghouse and Edison literal and electrified.

The first professional theatre production in the region since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Current War will be staged for small socially distanced audiences outdoors under a large tent in Westinghouse Park, and performed by a fully vaccinated artistic company.

The Current War runs approximately 90 minutes with no intermission.
